GERMANTIMBER successfully communicated the advantages of using timber products in sustainable building at BAU 2009, which was held from January 12 to 17 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre. "Sustainability to the nth degree" – the motto of the GERMANTIMBER exhibition stand at BAU 2009, was perfectly suited to the focus of the building industry's internationally pre-eminent trade fair on environmentally friendly and energy efficient building.
More than 211,000 people, including 36,000 foreign visitors from 151 countries, attended the trade fair, making the event an important platform for GERMANTIMBER to present modern timber products from sustainable forestry and innovative timber building solutions. Due to the domestic and international trend towards environmental, climate-friendly and energy-efficient building, representatives at the GERMANTIMBER exhibition stand were pleased to see high demand for the specialist information they had on offer in a number of languages.
