The German Timber Promotion Fund has taken part in “Woodshow 2009”, which was held from April 21-23, 2009 in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The “Woodshow” is the leading trade show for wood products and wood processing machinery in the Middle East. In recent years, there has been significant growth in both the number of exhibitors and visitors. This year, 200 exhibitors from 26 countries presented their products on a 16,0002 metre exhibition ground. More than 5,000 visitors attended “Woodshow”.

At its GERMANTIMBER stand (No. C26), the German Timber Promotion Fund presented the advantages and broad application range of modern wood products from sustainable forestry and informed visitors about the productivity of the German forest and wood-based industries. Four German companies from the sawmill and wood engineering sectors joined in at the GERMANTIMBER stand at the exhibition.
