Hardwood lumber – high-quality timber products for interior finishing and furniture manufacture

Germany has numerous hardwood varieties for a number of high-quality uses in interior finishing and furniture manufacture. The most important hardwood varieties are beech and oak. Both kinds of wood are of a very high quality, can be used for numerous applications and are very attractive.

Other industrially used kinds of wood are maple, ash, alder and elm, though also rarer fruit-tree timber and walnut.
The European beech in particular is a real multi-talent. Beech is used in all areas of ambitious interior finishing for both residential and commercial projects. Thanks to its high load-bearing capacity, beech is ideal for wooden flooring, stairs and doors.

But it is also in great demand for various types of furniture manufacture thanks to the wide range of different surface treatments.

From home furniture, fitted kitchens through to commercial fittings - beech can be used for all of these. A prominent example of its use: the "German Room" in red core beech at the United Nations in Rome.
