A delegation from Turkey visited Germany from November 16-19, to obtain information about modern building with wood in Germany. The delegation´s itinerary included visits to several timber-processing operations and a number of examples of excellence for modern timber construction. The tour included a sawmill, glued-laminated wood manufacturer and timber engineering company, a shopping centre in Cologne, a passive house development in St. Gereonshof near Bonn and the Rheinische Landesmuseum (Cultural Museum Rhineland) in Bonn. At the museum, also on evening event took place, which provided the Turkish guests with an opportunity to exchange technical knowledge with representatives of the German timber industry.
