This year the German Timber Promotion Fund supported the British timber construction prize „UK Wood Awards“ and the international prize for architecture, „LEAF Awards“. The purpose of the „UK Wood Awards“ is to promote the use of timber in the UK; it presents awards for modern timber construction and innovative wood furniture design in various categories. The international prize for architecture, the „LEAF Awards“ awards global innovative architecture and design. Here, the German Timber Promotion Fund supported the category „Sustainable Development“. Both awarding ceremonies were also used as an opportunity to exchange technical information with important international architecture firms and other professionals, decision-makers and organizations.
