The German Timber Promotion Fund took part at the International Woodworking Fair IWF in Atlanta, USA, which was held from August 20-23, 2008. The IWF is one of the world’s largest fairs for wood products, wood working equipment and suppliers to the furniture industry. Numerous technical discussions at the GERMANTIMBER exhibition booth made it clear that modern timber products and wood building solutions can play a significant role in sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly construction (green building) in the USA and North America in general.
